History
The Japan Rheumatism Foundation was founded in November 1987 with the approval and support by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.


Mission
To promote the investigation and research into the prevention and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and other rheumatic conditions
To increase public awareness of rheumatoid arthritis and other rheumatic conditions
To promote the continuing medical education of general physicians and rheumatologists about the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis
To provide financial supports to and cooperate with professional associations and patient organizations in the field of arthritis and rheumatism
To facilitate international cooperation in the prevention and control of rheumatoid arthritis and other rheumatic conditions
To improve health care system of arthritis and rheumatism
